1. 1/3 c red wine
2. 1 lbs penne pasta,
3. 4 c (8 ounces) Lean ground beef
4. 1 small onion,
5. 1 tbs instant beef bouillon
6. 2 c Water
7. Salt to taste
8. 2 6-ounces cans Italian tomato paste
9. 2 c mozzarella cheese
Step 1
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Saute ground beef and onion in large saucepan, stirring occasionally, until beef is no longer pink.
- Add water, wine, tomato paste and bouillon; cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 mins or until flavors are blended.
- Layer ingredients as follows in an ungreased 13x9-inch baking dish: 1/2 sauce, 1/2 pasta, and 1/2 cheese.
- Repeat layers and cover.
- Bake for 20 to 25 mins or until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Season with salt.
