8  egg whites
3 cup skim milk
4  apple made into applesauce*
2 tsp salt (I omit)
12 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp baking posder
2 cup flour
4 cup cornmeal

  1. Heat oven to 425 deg F
  2. Grease a pan (I used a medium vision pot sprayed lightly with pan) and put in oven to preheat.
  3. Mix all ingredients, pour batter into heated pan and bake for 20 min.
  4. To make applesauce quick I cut up 1 apple and put in bowl with a bit or water and then microwave on high for 2 mins.
  5. Then I use my handblender to make it into sauce.
  6. Make sure you do this in a tall, thin container as it tends to spit up and hot apple sauce really burns! One apple makes about 1/3 of a cup  so you could use storebought for this.

1 tb Sugar
6 tb Baking soda
Coarse salt
1 pk Active dry yeast
1 c Warm water
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tb Salad oil

  • In a bowl , dissolve yeast in water. Add 1 1/2 cups of the flour, sugar & oil.
  • Beat for about 3 mins to make a smooth batter.
  • Gradually stir of the remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  • Turn out onto a floured board and knead until smooth & satiny(about 5 mins) adding flour as needed to prevent sticking.
  • Place dough in a large bowl; turn over to grease top.
  • Cover and let rise in a warm place until double(about 60 mins).
  • Punch down dough, turn out onto a floured board,& divide into 12 pieces.
  • Shape each into a smooth ball by gently kneading.
  • Then roll each into a smooth rope about 18 inches long, & twist into a pretzel shape.
  • Place slightly apart on a greased baking sheet turning loose ends underneath.
  • Let rise, uncovered,until puffy(about 25 mins) Meanwhile, in a 3-quart stainless steel or enameled pan(not aluminum) bring soda water to a boil; adjust water to keep water boiling gently.
  • With a slotted spatula, lower 1 pretzel at a time into pan.
  • Let simmer for 10 secs on each side,then lift from water,drain briefly on spatula, & return to baking sheet.
  • Let dry briefly, then sprinkle with coarse salt and let stand,uncovered, until all have simmered.
  • Bake in a preheated 425° F oven for 12 up to 15 mins or UP to golden brown.
  • Transfer to racks; serve warm with butter, mustard or even cream cheese.
  • Or let cool completely,wrap airtight,and freeze.
  • To reheat, place frozen on ungreased baking sheets & bake in a preheated 400° F oven for about 10 mins or up to hot. 
  • Makes 1 dozen pretzels.

1 cup ripe banana, mashed (approx. 3 medium)
1   tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar (brown or white)
2  eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup milk + 1/2 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
Cinnamon sugar topping:

  • If making your own buttermilk put 1/2 tablespoon vinegar in 1/2 cup measuring cup & fill the rest of the way with milk, set aside.
  • Spray 2 loaf pans (8" x 4") with cooking spray or line two muffin pans with cupcake liners.
  • Cream together sugar and butter .
  •  Add in mashed banana,  vanilla & egg, & stir up to combined. 
  • Sift together  salt, baking soda, flour, & cinnamon. 
  • Mix the rest of the way by hand, add half of dry ingredients & mix & then half of the milk & mix. 
  • Do the same with the other half of dry and wet. 
  • Do not over mix!
  • Evenly divide batter into loaf pans or muffin tins.
  • Combine the 1/4 cup sugar & 1 teaspoon cinnamon & sprinkle top of loafs or muffins generously with cinnamon sugar before baking.
  • Bake at 350 deg F. For loaves bake for 50 up to55 mins or muffins 25 up to 30 mins or until knife comes out clean.

Easy Bread Cones Recipe

1/2 cup Water
3 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup Sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon milk 
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
3 1/2 cups bread flour
Egg wash:
1 egg

  • Pour the water  and milk onto a saucepan and heat to a scald.
  • Pour this into a bowl (I used my kitchen aid bowl since I was going to knead it using the mixer), allow to cool to lukewarm. 
  • Add in the  sugar, oil & salt; mix with a wooden spoon till well blended.Add in the 2 cups of flour & beaten egg ; toss till smooth with a wooden spoon.
  • Add in the instant yeast and mix.Allow to sit for 10 mins uncovered. 
  • Now, start to slowly add in more flour. I added 1 1/2 cups...a total of 3 1/2 cups of flour. 
  • I used my Kitchen Aid to do the mixing.
  • I kneaded the dough for 6 up to 8 mins. 
  • Add a tbsp of oil to a clean bowl and place the dough into the bowl. 
  • Turn over a few times to lightly coat all sides of the dough with the oil. 
  • Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rest till the dough doubles in bulk, about 60 minus. 
  • While the dough is rising, make the cones. 
  • That is if you don't have any.
  •  If you do ah, take a break.
  • Make the cones out of card stock paper material or fliers that are a bit more sturdier.
  • Tape the cones & then cover them well with aluminum foil, so that no paper shows.
  • Set them aside.Remove dough & knead a few time to release the gas. 
  • Now cut the dough into 8 pieces.Use a scale to make sure each piece is equal in weight(I didn't do this since I don't have a scale). 
  • Allow the dough to rest for 5 mins. 
  • Take each piece of dough & roll into a 36 inch rope.
  • Roll the dough ropes around the greased 6 inch cream horn tubes.
  • Place onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with the egg glaze. 
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds(or both).
  • Cover with plastic wrap. 
  • Allow to rest for 30 mins in a warm environment.
  • Bake in a preheated 350° F oven for 20 up to22 mins or untill golden brown(mine took about 18 mins).
  • Place onto a wire rack and allow to cool for a couple minutes before removing the tubes.
  • Fill them with your favorite filling and enjoy!
  • They freeze very well.

1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Water
2 1/2 cups Flour
1 package Dry yeast
1 tablespoon Sugar

  • To the cup of warm water add the dry yeast and sugar.
  •  Let stand 10 up to 14 mins.
  • Add the salt, butter & flour. 
  • Toss well, turn out and knead until dough is smooth.
  • Cover and allow to rise in a warm place. 
  • Punch down & allow to rise again.
  • Roll dough to 0.25 inch thickness to fit pizza pan (or thinner if you want a thin crust) . 
  • Leave to rise again while you prepare the filling.
  • Makes enough for 2 pizzas.
  • We have found you can get a better pizza crust if you partially bake the dough before adding the toppings. 
  • We use a pampered chef pizza stone so after rolling the dough out on it will put it in the oven at 400 degrees F up to it just starts to brown. 
  • Then take it out & add the toppings. 
  • Times will vary from oven to oven so it is best to just keep an eye on it for your own oven.
  • After adding your toppings cook at 400 - 450 degrees F for 15 up to 20 mins. 
  • Times will vary depending on your toppings so keep an eye on it the first few times. 
  • I put cheese on last & when it starts to bubble & brown nicely it's ready to eat.

2 Large Loaves
1/2 c Warm water
2 c Hot water
2 tbsp Yeast
1/2 c Sesame seeds
3 tbsp Sugar
1 tbsp Salt
5 tbsp Shortening
6 c All purpose flour
3 Egg whites

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water. 
  • In a bowl, combine hot water, salt, sugar,  1/2 3 cups of the flour & shortening . 
  • Beat well with wooden spoon, or in a large mixer using a dough hook attachment. 
  • Toss dissolved yeast. Add remaining 3 cups of flour, mixing well until blended.
  • Leave spoon/dough hook in batter, allowing dough to rest for 10 mins. 
  • Toss again vigorously, allowing dough to rest another 10 mins. 
  • Repeat until dough has been stirred 5 times.
  • On floured board, turn out dough & knead once or twice until it is lightly covered with flour.
  •  Divide dough in half. Roll each half into rectangles, about 9x12 inches. 
  • Starting at the long edge, roll loosely, like a jelly roll, sealing the edge.
  • Place roll, lengthwise, seam down on a large baking sheet, arranging so both loaves will fit on one sheet.
  • Gash top of each loaf diagonally with sharp knife, 3 to 4 times, then brush with beaten egg white & sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Allow loaves to rise 30 mins. Bake at 400° F for 35 mins, or up to golden brown.

1  packet (1/4 oz.) instant yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • Combine yeast, flour & salt in a  bowl. Add 1 1/2 cups water and mix until blended; dough will be shaggy. 
  • Cover bowl with plastic wrap. 
  • Let dough rest about 240 mins at warm room temperature, about 70° F.
  • Lightly oil a work surface & place dough on it; fold it over on itself once or twice. 
  • Cover loosely with plastic wrap & let rest 30 mins more.
  • At least a half-hour before dough is ready, preheat oven to 450° F. 
  • Put a 6-to-8-quart heavy covered pot in oven as it heats. 
  • When dough is ready, carefully remove pot from oven. 
  • Slide your hand under dough & put it into pot, seam side up. 
  • Shake pan once or twice if dough is unevenly distributed; it will straighten out as it bakes.
  • Cover with lid & bake 30 mins, then remove lid & bake another 15 up to 30 mins, until loaf is beautifully browned. Cool on a rack.

1. 4 1/4 cups All purpose flour, plus more for dusting
2. 2 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
3. 2 tbsp. sugar
4. 2 1/4 tsp. bread machine yeast
5. 1 tbsp. fine salt
6. pinch dried oregano
7. 3 tbsp. Unsalted butter, melted
8. 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
9. 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1.Place 1/4 cup warm water in the bowl of a mixer; sprinkle in the yeast & set aside until foamy, about 5 mins.

2. Add the  butter, flour, fine salt, sugar, and 1 1/4 cups plus 2 tbsp warm water; toss with the paddle attachment up to slightly sticky dough forms, 5 mins.

3. Knead the dough by hand on a floured surface up to smooth & soft, 3 mins. Roll into a 2 foot long log; cut into 16, 1 1/2 inch long pieces.

4. Knead each piece slightly & shape into a 7 inch long breadstick; arrange 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet.

5. Cover with a cloth; let rise in a warm spot up to almost doubled, about 45 mins.

6. Heat to oven to 400° F.

7.Make the topping: Sprinkle with 1/4 tsp kosher salt & Brush the breadstix with 1 1/2 tbsp of the butter

8. Bake up to lightly golden, about 15 mins.

9. Meanwhile, combine the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt with the oregano and garlic powder.  Sprinkle with the salt & Brush the warm breadstix with the remaining 1 1/2 tbsp melted butter.

1. 1 teaspoon baking powder
2. 3  eggs
3. 2 teaspoon cinnamon
4. 1 c pecans -- chopped
5. 1 c sugar
6. 1 teaspoon ginger -- optional
7. 2/3 c pumpkin
8. 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
9. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
10. 1/2 teaspoon salt
11. 3/4 cup flour
For the Filling:
1. 4 tablespoon oleo
2. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3. 8 ounces cream cheese
4. 1 c powder sugar

  • Beat eggs on high for 5 mins; add sugar at last time.
  • Stir lemon juice & pumpkin.
  • Mix dry ingredients & fold in.
  • Pour into greased cookie sheet (with 1 inches side).
  • It doesn't look like there's enough better, but just spread it out all over the cookie sheet & it makes a nice size cake.
  • Sprinkle with pecans.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F 15 mins. 
  • Cool
  • Trun out  on powder sugar towel.
  • Sprinkle powder sugar on top of roll also.
  • Roll up in towel. 
  • Cool.
  • Unroll & spread filling.
  • Re-roll & refrigerate or freeze. (Wrap in foil)

  • Bake for 60 minutes or up to firm & golden brown.
  • Cool on wire rack for at least 15 mins before turning bread out onto tray.

1. 1 tsp Baking soda1 tsp Salt
2. 1 1/4 c walnuts or pecans
3. 1 tsp Vanilla extract
4. 1/2 c unsalted butter
5. 1 1/4 c Sugar
6. 2 1/2 c All-purpose flour
7. 2 large Eggs
8. 1 1/2 c bananas
9. 1/2 c Buttermilk
  • Adjust oven rack to lower middle position (so that top of pan will be in center of oven) & preheat oven to 350° F. 
  • Grease bottom only of regular loaf pan, or grease & flour bottom & sides of nonstick 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan. Set aside.
  • If using, spread nuts on rimmed baking sheet & bake until fragrant & deep golden brown, 5 to 10 mins. 
  • Transfer nuts to cutting board to cool; chop coarsely & set aside. 
  • Whisk the nuts, salt, baking soda, and flour together in a big bowl. Set aside.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together the sugar & butter on medium speed up to light & fluffy. 
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 
  • Add the bananas and beat until smooth. 
  • Add the vanilla & buttermilk & beat just until combined. 
  • Pour banana mixture onto dry ingredients and gently fold until just incorporated. 
  • The batter should be slightly lumpy.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan & smooth the top. 
  • It should be no more than two-thirds full. 
  • Bake up to the loaf is golden brown, the edges pull away from the sides of the pan & a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 60 mins and 15 mins. 
  • Rotate the pan periodically to ensure even browning. 
  • Let the bread rest in the pan for 5 mins, then turn the loaf out onto a wire rack & let cool completely. 
  • Cut into thick slices to serve.
  • Makes one 9-by-5-inch loaf. 
  • Cooks Notes:
    If using a glass 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan, bake at 325° F for about 90 mins . To make mini muffins, bake for about 18 to 20 mins.

5. 3 tbsp milk
6. 1 c Sugar
7. 2 c Flour

  • Heat oven to 350°  F.
  • Egg, cream sugar, butter together in big mixer bowl. 
  • Beat until fluffy. 
  • Set aside. 
  • Combine milk & bananas in little bowl & set aside.
  • Sift flour, baking soda & baking powder in little bowl.
  • Stir by hand into reserved creamed mixture alternately with reserved banana mixture until flour is just moistened.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Grease 1 loaf pan.
  • Turn batter into pan.
  • Bake at 350° F for 60 mins, or up to toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan for 10 mins. 
  • Remove from pan. 
  • Cool on rack.

How To Make Bread With Banana; Banana Cake


1. 3/4 c granulated white sugar
2. 1 tsp baking powder
3. 1/4 tsp baking soda
4. 1/4 tsp Salt
5. 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
6. 1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
7. 2  Eggs
8. 1/2 c unsalted butter
9. 3 large bananas
  • Heat oven to 350° F.
  • Flour & butter the bottom & sides of a 23 x 13 x 8 cm loaf pan. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, &  baking soda.
  • Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl combine the mashed bananas, eggs, vanilla, & melted butter.
  • With a rubber spatula, lightly fold the wet ingredients (banana mixture) into the dry ingredients just until combined & the batter is thick & chunky.
  • The important thing is not to over mix the batter. You do not want it smooth. Over mixing the batter will yield tough, rubbery bread.
  • Scrape batter into prepared pot & place the slices of banana on top of the batter for garnish.
  • Bake up to  bread is golden brown & a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, about 60 mins.
  • Place on a wire rack to cool and then remove the bread from the pan.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

1. 4.25 ounces walnuts
2. 8 ounces unbleached all-purpose flour
3. 3/4 cup Sugar

8. 6 ounces Overripe Bananas
9. 2 large eggs,

Step 1
  • Position oven rack to the lower-middle position and heat oven to 350 °F.
  • Grease bottom and sides of a 9- by 5-inch loaf pan; dust with flour, tapping out excess flour.
Step 2
  • Spread walnuts evenly on a baking sheet and toast until fragrant, about 5-10 min. Set until cool.
Step 3
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar,  flour, salt, baking soda, and walnuts.
  • Set aside until needed.
  • In a medium bowl, using a wooden spoon, mix together the mashed bananas, eggs, yogurt,vanilla and butter.

1. 2 cups Flour

Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350  F degree.
  • Place bananas in a large bowl and mash with electric mixer.
  • Stir in sugar and let stand for 15 minutes.
Step 2
  • Add applesauce and eggs and beat well.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour into 9"x5" loaf pan coated with nonstick vegetable spray.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Step 3
  • Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan.

1. 4 ounces (1 cup) sugar.
2. 1 ounce (0.5 cup) walnuts.
3. 8 ounces (2 cup) flour.

5. 4 tbs sour milk

9. 1 ounce butter
10. 2 eggs
11. 1 tsp vanilla


Step 1
 In bowl, mix together eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk and bananas, blending well.

Step 2
In large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add banana mixture and blend only to moisten. Add walnuts, if desired.

Step 3
Pour into lightly greased 9"x5" pan and bake at 350 degree F for 1 hr until tester comes clean.

Note: For sour milk, add 1 tsp vinegar to fresh milk. Crunchy and sweet on the inside; moist and tender on the inside - delicious!

1/2 c Sugar
2 c Chocolate chips
1 c Brown sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 c or 1/2 c Butter
2 tsp Vanilla

1/2 c Nuts, toasted
1 c Unsweetened coconut

Step 1
  • heat oven to 325° F. (Oven temps may vary from one to the other. Please check with thermometer prior to use) 
Step 2
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the butter with both sugars; cream together with a large.
Step 3
  • Wooden spoon up to light and fluffy.
Step 4
  • Add the vanilla, salt, & eggs. 
  • Mix until well mixed.
Step 5
  • Add the baking soda to the flour & beat well.
  • Add the flour in 3 parts mix until just combined.
Step 6
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
Step 7
  • Prepare a large silicone or parchment paper inlay; Scoop into tbsp,
Step 8
  • Bake up to cookies are golden around the edges, or just starting to firm up, but still soft in the centre, 10 mins.
Step 9
  • Remove from oven, &let cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 mins. Transfer to a wire rack,
Step 10
And let cool completely :
  • Serve with a tall glass of milk or a steaming mug of tea or hot chocolate.
